Martin Kihn is a writer and business person. He holds an MBA from Columbia University and a BA from Yale. His articles have appeared in New York, the New York Times, GQ, Us, Details, Cosmopolitan and Forbes, among many others, and he has been on the staff of Spy, Forbes, New York and Vibe. Much of his writing has been about the business of entertainment.

He was also Head Writer for the popular television program "Pop-Up Video" on MTV Networks and was nominated for an Emmy for Writing. He lost to "Win Ben Stein's Money."

His books include "House of Lies: How Management Consultants Steal Your Watch and Then Tell You the Time" (Grand Central 2005), which Salon.com called "exceedingly smart and funny"; and "A$$hole: How I Got Rich & Happy By Not Giving a Damn About Anyone (And How You Can Too)" (Broadway Books 2008), which was sold to Warner Brothers and may someday be a major motion picture. He is at work on his third book.

Martin, who is called Marty, graduated from Columbia Business School with honors in 2001 and worked as a strategy consultant at a top-tier management consulting firm. Currently, he works in digital marketing.

He is married to singer-songer Julia Douglass and lives in Washington Heights with their bilingual Bernese mountain dog, Hola. His dream is to move farther down in Manhattan and see more ballet.
